Grief became a source of inspiration for Teah, Unforthreadable’s founder. After losing her grandfather in 2023, Teah's healing journey led her back to her sewing machine. She began sewing keychains for her family using her grandfather's clothing that she felt was too special to give away. Making keepsakes using her eight years of sewing experience became a way for Teah to cope with her loss and bring comfort to her grieving family. Teah took a business fundamentals course at the Patsy T. Mink Center for Business and Leadership, and Unforthreadable was born! Unforthreadable's services naturally expanded to also transform clothing that commemorates important milestones like birthdays and graduations. Teah treats each clothing piece with care as if it belonged to her own loved one. She is grateful to provide her community with tangible reminders of their dear memories while also promoting the sustainable practice of up-cycling.
